191023 Wild Wild West

Located at ABC Brickworks, 6 Jalan Bukit Merah, Singapore 150006
This western food stall in the hawker centre is very popular.
This is a $8 Beef steak. Huge and tasty. I like its coleslaw. It has a fresh and lemon taste. Very refreshing. Of course, we cannot compare those premium beef to this. I believed they are able to use the cheaper cut to cook to this standard. Then they are able to charge of $8. Recommended.

Long queue can be seen during dinner. Boss is very friendly and humble. He came over to tell me that the portions are big, can request to do take away unfinished food. So kind of him.

Another $8 meal. Fish and Chips. Wow, super big size. Really need to take away one piece for me to finish the whole meal. Recommended.
I have not gone back to try other dishes as it was quite far from my home. Nevertheless, will definitely eat there again if I am there.

191127-Yong Kee Seafood Restaurant

Located in 43 Jln Besar, Singapore 208804, just diagonally opposite (left side) Jalan Besar MRT is a coffee shop. Yong Kee Seafood is a cook stall located in this coffee shop. The food here is surprisingly good with that traditional "Zhi Char" taste. If you do not mind eating in old school coffee shop without air conditioning, try out this place.
191127 - This is what we ate on this date. The total do not exceed $50 for 4 person. Food good and friendly to our pocket.

Water tofu (水豆腐)
A must pre-ordered dish if you wish to have this for dinner. Otherwise, it will be sold out.
Fried soya bean curd dip into a specially sauce. Very nice.

I am still testing the cooking skill of the chef here. Purposely ordered the garlic sweet potato leaves. I was not able to cook this vegetable properly. For some reason, this chef is able to fry this vegetables so well that we ended up loving this vegetable dish.

Sweet sour pork. This is an old school dish. Again the chef is able to achieve the kind of taste that we first tasted sweet sour pork. Crispy, sweet tangy flavor.

星洲炒米粉 Sin Chow Bee Hoon.
We tried this dish last month and was impress with its "wok hey" meaning the burning wok smell.
Today we tried the medium portion and find it a let down. Perhaps it is a bigger portion that we ordered? That is why no more "wok hey" for the been hoon?

191204 Tai Cheong Bakery

191204 - Tai Cheong Bakery
A Hong Kong Bakery located at  B2 of Takashimaya. This stall do not have place for dine in. Just a little store but the food is really good. The egg tart smell so good that even it is boxed up and in a bag, I can sell its egg smelling sweetness from the bag on the way home via MRT. I really do not mind paying a premium of $2 per egg tart for its smooth silky egg texture.
As for the Char Siew Polo Pao, it is cost at $2.70, slightly ex but it is really bigger than those we bought out there. You can even smell the good sweet bun without eating it.
